Marking Tasks as Complete

There's a special satisfaction in marking a task as complete, and TidyJot makes it easy to celebrate your accomplishments.

How to Mark a Task as Complete:

  1. Locate the Task: Find the task you've finished on your Dashboard, within a Focus Area, or in any task list.

  2. Click the Checkbox: Next to each task, you'll typically find a checkbox or a similar completion indicator. Simply click on this.

  3. Visual Confirmation:

    • The task will usually be struck through, faded, or move to a "Completed" section of your list, giving you instant visual feedback.

    • Sometimes, TidyJot might even offer a small celebration (like confetti!) to acknowledge your achievement.

What Happens When You Complete a Task:

  • Progress Tracking: Completing tasks contributes to your overall productivity metrics and progress within associated Focus Areas.

  • Clearer Focus: Completed tasks are moved out of your active list, allowing you to focus on what still needs to be done.

  • Historical Record: Completed tasks are not deleted; they are archived, allowing you to review your achievements over time. You can often view completed tasks by toggling a filter.

Undoing Completion:

  • Accidentally marked a task as complete? No worries! You can usually click the checkbox again (or an "Undo" option) to revert its status to incomplete.

Marking tasks complete is a small action with a big impact on your motivation and sense of accomplishment. Keep checking those boxes!
