Navigating the App Interface

TidyJot's interface is designed to be intuitive and easy to navigate, putting your most important tools just a click away. Here’s a quick overview of the main areas you'll encounter:

1. Sidebar/Navigation Menu (Left Side - Desktop, Toggleable - Mobile): This is your primary navigation hub.

  • Journal: Your space for daily reflections and entries.

  • Dashboard: An overview of your tasks, mood, habits, and key insights.

  • Calendar: A visual representation of your scheduled entries, tasks, and events.

  • Plans: Manage your long-term goals and projects (Focus Areas) with associated tasks.

  • Cafe: (If applicable) Explore additional features, integrations, or community content.

  • Feedback: A direct link to share your thoughts and suggestions with us.

2. Header (Top Bar):

  • Logo: Click to return to your Dashboard or main page.

  • Mobile Menu Toggle (Mobile Only): Opens/closes the main navigation sidebar.

  • User Avatar/Profile: Click on your avatar (or initial icon) to access a dropdown menu for:

    • Your Profile Name and Email

    • Settings: Manage account details, subscription, data export, and more.

    • Log Out: Securely sign out of your account.

3. Main Content Area: This central area is where you'll interact with the selected feature (Journal, Dashboard, Plans, etc.). The content here will change based on your selection from the sidebar. You’ll find:

  • Widgets: Interactive displays of information (e.g., mood charts, to-do lists, water intake trackers).

  • Entry Forms: For creating new journal entries or tasks.

  • Lists & Boards: For managing tasks, focus areas, and other content.

  • Calendar Views: Day, week, or month views of your schedule.

Key Interface Elements:

  • Buttons: Clearly labeled actions (e.g., "New Entry," "Add Task," "Save").

  • Icons: Visual cues for quick identification of features (e.g., a book icon for Journal, a target icon for Plans).

  • Tooltips: Hover over certain elements for more information.
