Focus Areas are TidyJot's way of helping you zoom out from individual tasks and see the bigger picture. Think of them as mini-projects or ongoing priorities that group related tasks together under one roof.
You'll find Focus Areas under Plans in the left navigation sidebar. The full page is titled Plans & Focus Areas with the tagline: Your bigger picture — projects, goals, and ongoing commitments.
Each Focus Area is displayed as a card showing:
The name and status badge (Active, Paused, or Completed)
A short description
A task progress bar (e.g., "0/5 tasks" and "0%")
A list of linked tasks you can check off directly from the card
An + Add task link to add tasks right from the card
The Plans page also includes three additional panels below your Focus Area cards:
Goals — Long-term goals captured from your journal entries
Ongoing Routines — Recurring habits or routines detected by AI
Coming Up Soon — Tasks with upcoming due dates, pulled together for quick visibility
